FAQ

Frequently asked questions

General questions about EzuLaw. Each practice area page also has FAQ specific to that type of matter.

Is EzuLaw a law firm?+

No. We are a lawyer referral service. We connect prospective clients with participating, independently practicing Florida attorneys. We don't represent you and don't provide legal advice.

Does it cost anything to submit an inquiry?+

No. Submitting an inquiry through any practice area page is free. Participating attorneys pay us a flat fee to be part of the referral panel — we never take a percentage of a settlement, judgment, or fee.

How do you choose which attorney I'm matched with?+

We look at your practice area, county, and the details you provide in your intake, then check our current panel for a participating attorney who fits. If we don't have one available, we'll tell you rather than force a match.

Will I know where the attorney is located before I talk to them?+

Yes — always. We disclose the matched attorney's name, firm, and location (city/county) as part of the referral, before you're asked to take any next step.

Does talking to a matched attorney mean they're representing me?+

No. An attorney-client relationship is only created if and when that specific attorney agrees to take your case. Submitting an inquiry or having an initial conversation doesn't create representation on its own.

What counties do you serve?+

Palm Beach County and Broward County, Florida. See our Service Area page for details on each county's judicial circuit.

How are attorneys vetted before joining the panel?+

Every attorney profile requires a Florida Bar number, and we manually confirm that attorney's standing using The Florida Bar's official Find A Lawyer tool before they're published on the live panel.

I'm an attorney — how do I join the panel?+

Visit our For Attorneys page for onboarding details and next steps.

What if I'm in immediate danger or need emergency help?+

This site is not for emergencies. If you're in immediate danger, call 911. If your matter involves domestic violence, the Florida Domestic Violence Hotline is available 24/7 at 1-800-500-1119, regardless of whether you use this service.
